I studied Chemistry in Erlangen (Germany), earned a PhD scholarship from the Bavarian Government and finalized my thesis in Organic Chemistry (summa cum laude) in 1995. |

I developed an interest in teaching/debating rather early and became responsible for the education of chemical engineers in chemistry during my PhD work. |

The first contact with patent work for a Munich firm of Patent Attorneys was decisive: I found the profession which seemed to have been invented for me personally. |

The change to a large German company and responsibilities for the Pharmaceutical & Consumer Care Division brought a variety of new tasks and challenges: worldwide litigation management, prosecution and licensing activities as well as in-house teaching/educating of future European Patent Attorneys. |
