History
The firm has two historical roots:

Dieter Hepp: After collecting experience in private practice and industry,
he started his own law firm in Wil in 1975. From the very beginning,
the focus of the firm
was to assist companies in actively creating and exploiting
Industrial Property Rights as part of their overall business concept.

Rolf Ryffel: Formerly with Kirchhofer & Ryffel he joined the firm in 1993. Mr Ryffel retired in 2000. Kirchhofer & Ryffel was founded in 1880. It was one of the first patent-law firms in Switzerland
